Temporary Mural in Tou Scene, Stavanger during NUART festival (2015)

The original canvas that got Lost in Transit between Montreal to Norway. (never found to this day)

It has been almost ten years since Martin Whatson and I were invited to collaborate and create a temporary mural at Tou Scene during the Nuart Festival in Stavanger, Norway. Now, we have partnered with Graffiti Prints to produce a beautiful edition and multiple variations of this piece, titled "Lost in Transit," which holds a remarkable story.

Nuart Festival commissioned artists Martin Whatson and Sandra Chevrier to collaborate and create a temporary indoor mural during the 2015 edition of the festival. Im guessing that everyone loved it because
In 2017, the festival commissioned the pair to recreate the mural, this time for a long-term purpose in the beautiful port of Stavanger. The people of the city and visitors from everywhere captured images of the mural and showed their love and appreciation for the artwork.

We decided to create an original canvas where the first version got “lost in transit” during shipment from Montreal to Norway. (Where the title came from!!)

And now, we have collaborated with our long-time partner Graffiti Prints to release a pretty cool screenprint.

Il y a presque dix ans, Martin Whatson et moi avons été invités à collaborer et à créer une murale temporaire à Tou Scene lors du Festival Nuart à Stavanger, en Norvège. Maintenant, nous avons collaboré avec Graffiti Prints pour produire une édition et plusieurs variations de cette œuvre, intitulée "Lost in Transit".

Le Festival Nuart a commissionné les artistes Martin Whatson et Sandra Chevrier pour collaborer et créer une fresque temporaire à l'intérieur lors de l'édition 2015 du festival. Nous supposons que les gens ont adoré car en 2017, le festival a commissionné le duo pour recréer la fresque, cette fois dans un but à long terme dans le magnifique port de Stavanger. Les habitants de la ville et les visiteurs du monde entier ont capturé des images de la murale et ont montré leur amour et leur appréciation pour l'œuvre.

Nous avons décidé de créer une toile originale et malheureusement la première version sera "perdue en transit" lors de l'expédition de Montréal à la Norvège.

Et maintenant, nous avons collaboré avec notre partenaire de longue date Graffiti Prints pour sortir une sérigraphie.
